Apparently, digital blowback isn’t limited to
Twitter. It’s now spreading to Facebook, too.
Case in point: Cheerios recently released a Facebook app that lets users choose words that play off the brand’s icon logo font. In response, a food group that opposes genetically modified foods
mobilized thousands of its supporters — practically overnight — to generate names such as
“Made in a Lab,” “Contain Toxic Ingredients,” and “Poison.”
