Question
If you’re applying for a job via a website that has a box for “additional information,” should you write something?
Answer
I’d say “yes”; this online box is the equivalent of the question at the end of an interview, “Is there anything else we should discuss that we haven’t?”
In answering, try to think of one simple point. It can even be something like, “I want this job.” Or, “Hire me — you won’t regret it.” At the very least, recap something from your cover letter.
To be sure, it’s not terrible if you leave this space blank. But why pass up an opportunity to emphasize something that your interviewer may not have realized was critical?
